Courtney Duncan withdraws from FIM Oceania Women’s MX Cup

Motorcycling New Zealand announces Courtney Duncan’s withdrawal from the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup which will take place this weekend in Wonthaggi, Australia. Her absence is a precautionary measure after she broke her ribs in a heavy crash in training this past week.

Courtney Duncan: “I’m disappointed not to be able to represent New Zealand at the FIM Oceania Women’s Cup this weekend. I was really looking forward to competing at this event – it’s always an honor to represent the fern especially alongside this team of women. Team events are quite different from my normal racing schedule, and so I was excited and well-prepared for this one. I wish the team every success there in Wonthaggi.”

Milla Dahlenburg, substitute for the New Zealand team, is called up to replace the four-time WMX world champion. The young rider, who is nearing her 17th birthday, is familiar with the event, having participated in last year’s edition. Milla will be picked up and flown directly to Melbourne to join the team ahead of the event.

The team will therefore consist of Amie Roberts, Karaitiana Horne, Mikayla Griffiths, and Milla Dahlenburg.
