Rachel Gutish dominates opening day in Fafe

Rachel Gutish emerged as the rider to beat on the opening day of the Expotrade Women’s Enduro class, securing victory by an impressive 36-second margin. The Rieju Factory Team rider looked comfortable in the hot, dry and dusty conditions, consistently posting top-two test times throughout the day. With four special test wins to her name, the American heads into day two full of confidence and aiming to extend her advantage.

Making her EnduroGP debut, Canada’s Shelby Turner (Triumph) immediately caught the attention of the paddock. Fresh from claiming victory in the Akrapovic Super Test, Turner maintained her momentum throughout the day while adapting to the demands of the EnduroGP format. Winning all three Expotrade Cross Tests, she demonstrated impressive speed and will be looking to challenge Gutish for the top step tomorrow.

Rieju Factory Team rider Rosie Rowett delivered a strong and consistent performance to secure third place. Setting the fastest time on the second GMoto Enduro Test, Rowett stayed in contention with the leading duo throughout the day. ET James Sherco UK’s Nieve Holmes finished fourth, while Ambiance Moto’s Justine Martel rounded out the top five.

In the Expotrade Women’s Junior Enduro category, Lorna Lafont (Husqvarna) emerged as the leading rider, finishing seventh overall. Charlene Boudon (Fantic) claimed second in class, while Sara Traini (Triumph) overcame a challenging day to complete the junior podium in third.
