The finale is almost here. In just a few hours, the 2026 FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship title will be decided between Daniela Guillen and Kiara Fontanesi.
The young Spaniard heads into the final two races of the season with a six-point advantage over the six-time world champion. Guillen is chasing her first WMX world title after finishing runner-up three times. Fontanesi is looking to add another championship to her already impressive collection.
With only two races remaining, the title fight will come down to every point, with several riders capable of influencing the final standings.
Two-time reigning world champion Lotte van Drunen has returned to winning form and will be looking to end the season on a high. The Dutch rider will also be focused on building momentum ahead of his title defense next year.
Courtney Duncan has continued to build momentum throughout the season and will be aiming to return to the top step. The four-time WMX world champion will be looking to make her mark in the final round.
The Australian field will also feature Lachlan Turner, who is set to make his WMX World Championship debut. The three-time US champion will line up against the world’s best for the first time, racing with number 9 after number 99 was already taken earlier this season.
Shana van der Vlist, Lucy Barker, Nellie Fransson, and Alexandra Massury will all be looking to finish their seasons with their best possible result.
Several Australian riders, including Emma Milesevic and Maddi Simpson, complete a field of just 17 riders for the season finale.
The championship battle is set. Guillen or Fontanesi — one of them will leave with the 2026 WMX world title.
