Lotte van Drunen and De Baets AIT Racing Yamaha will go their separate ways after three seasons together, bringing an end to a partnership that delivered back-to-back WMX World Championship titles.
The Dutch rider reached the top of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship with the team in 2024, before successfully defending her crown in 2025. Those consecutive championships marked the defining moments of their time together and established a highly successful period for both Van Drunen and the Yamaha outfit.
Following three years of collaboration, both parties now move towards a new chapter. De Baets AIT Racing Yamaha has expressed his appreciation for Van Drunen’s contribution to the team, thanking her for her dedication, trust and the memories created throughout their partnership.
The team also wished the two-time world champion the best for the next stage of her career.
What’s next for Lotte? Everything suggests that the Dutchwoman will return to her own structure in 2027, to participate in the WMX world championship and a few rounds of the US championship. Will she stay with Yamaha or will she start a new adventure with a new brand? We will have the answer very quickly.
