This weekend marks the second round of the Swedish MXSM Motocross Championship in Linköping, with 34 riders entered for the event. Among them is Malou Jakobsen. The Danish rider had not initially planned to continue in the championship this season, but her victory in the opening round changed her plans. She now hopes to build on that momentum heading into round two.
After finishing second in the opening round, Matilda Huss will be aiming for victory as she continues her quest for another championship title. The battle between Mathea Selebø and Natalie Kane was one of the highlights of the first round. The Norwegian rider secured a podium finish, and both riders are expected to be among the front-runners once again this weekend.
They will not be alone in the fight at the front, however. Hilda Sjöberg, well known for her strong starts, will also be one to watch. Tyra Bäckström is another rider expected to challenge near the front. The GasGas rider showed impressive speed in the opening round, but two crashes prevented her from achieving the result many expected.
Several other riders could also fight for strong results this weekend, including Rosalita Hovind, who impressed with her pace in round one, and Elsa Andersson, whose opening weekend ended in qualifying following a crash.
