Day three at Loretta Lynn’s featured the second moto of the Women’s class. Piper Bell and Jordan Jarvis got off to excellent starts and quickly established themselves at the front of the field. After an intense battle in the opening laps, Jarvis took control and pulled away to claim a convincing victory.
Behind them, Hannah Hodges and Mayla Herrick began charging through the pack, making several passes, including on Bell. In their battle for second place, Hodges eventually got the better of the Race 1 winner.
Lilly-Ann Pettus recovered well from a mediocre start and closed in on the leading group. However, after passing Herrick for third, she crashed in the closing stages of the moto and eventually finished fourth. Herrick then received a lifeline when Hodges also crashed on the final lap. Despite rejoining the race around two seconds behind, Hodges produced a remarkable comeback and beat Herrick to the finish line by just 0.029 seconds.
As a result, Jarvis, Hodges, and Herrick remain the three riders still in contention for the title heading into the third and final moto.
Tinley McCoy delivered an impressive ride to finish fifth after charging through the field. She completed her comeback by passing Isla Phillips on the final lap. Phillips also enjoyed a strong race, riding consistently and avoiding mistakes throughout the moto.
Zoe Moore finished seventh and remains within striking distance of the podium should any of the championship contenders encounter problems in the final race.
After running at the front early on, Piper Bell eventually dropped to eighth following a mistake. Kelsey Harris took ninth, while Shelby Rolen secured another top-ten finish.
