The second round of the EMX Women’s European Championship is taking place this weekend in Delfzijl, Netherlands, but it has taken a difficult turn for one of the home favorite Kyshara Das.
After securing second place at the opening round, the Dutch rider arrived highly motivated to deliver in front of her home crowd. Looking comfortable and competitive in practice, Das showed strong potential heading into Saturday’s qualifying race.
However, her weekend came to an abrupt halt. On lap two, she suffered a heavy crash after going over the handlebars, forcing her out of the race.
While initial reports indicate that she avoided any fractures, the impact to her head has ruled her out of Sunday’s races.
It’s a frustrating setback for the 125cc European Championship runner-up, and a blow to her title ambitions. Still, with several races remaining, the season is far from over.
