This Saturday proved disastrous for some riders in Delfzijl, Netherlands, the venue for the second round of the EMX Women’s European Championship.
After a strong start to the day, Nicoline Sørensen suffered a heavy crash during qualifying. The young Danish rider was taken to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with a fractured femur. As we write this, she is undergoing surgery.
Nicoline has no memory of the crash. She will now need to rest before beginning rehabilitation.
