The WMX Championship returns to the United States for the final three rounds of the season, with 35 riders set to line up at Unadilla.
A major battle is expected at the front between two-time defending champion Lachlan Turner and Charli Cannon, who appears to be back to full fitness following her shoulder injury. Just 19 points separate the two riders as the championship reaches its halfway point.
After winning her first WMX race before crashing in the second, Mayla Herrick is back and determined to claim her first overall victory. The SLR Honda rider arrives with plenty of confidence after securing the title at Loretta Lynn.
The battle for third place in the championship is also set to be closely contested, with Mikayla Nielsen, Taylah McCuthcheon and Jordan Jarvis separated in the standings. Piper Bell and Lilly-Ann Pettus will also be riders to watch this weekend.
Several off-road riders will be on the gate, including Ava Silvestri, who is contesting her fourth round of the season. She will be joined by Brandy Richards and Tayla Jones, two riders with plenty of experience at the highest level.
Jamie Astudillo, who is prioritizing the Canadian Championship this season, will also make her return to the series.
Several other riders are returning to the WMX Championship this weekend, including Hannah Hodges, who enjoyed a strong week at Loretta Lynn with a third-place finish, Shelby Rolen, who has already made her mark on women’s motocross, and Brianna Scheltema.
