The fourth round of the Swedish Championship took place this Saturday in Helsingborg, where the riders put on a great show in both motos.
Malou Jakobsen (2-1) secured another overall victory. The Dane tried everything to win the opening moto but couldn’t find a way past on the single-line track. Starting the second moto in third place, Jakobsen took some time to find an opening before moving into second. Setting a strong pace, she quickly closed the gap to the leader before making the decisive pass for the win. This victory gives her a significant advantage in the championship standings.
Matilda Huss (1-3) finished second overall. The Husqvarna Scandinavia rider held off Jakobsen in the first moto after taking the holeshot. Following a less successful start in the second moto, she fought her way back and found a way into third on the final lap. The Swede remains firmly in contention for the title.
Tyra Bäckström (5-2) completed the podium. After a poor start in the opening moto, the GasGas rider mounted an impressive comeback. She led the second moto early on but was unable to hold off Jakobsen’s late charge.
Mathea Selebø (3-4) finished fourth overall, tied on points with Bäckström. The Norwegian battled hard in the closing stages of the second moto in an attempt to secure a podium finish but was ultimately beaten by Huss. Hilda Sjöberg (4-5) rounded out the top five. The CEC Racing rider delivered two consistent motos and continues her strong championship campaign.
Tuva Nelson (6-6) finished sixth overall after getting off to a very good start in the opening moto. She finished ahead of Barbara Aagaard Andersen (7-7) and Sanna Kjellberg (10-8). Louise Eriksen (9-11) enjoyed one of her best performances of the season. The Dane, who has struggled to regain her best form this year, claimed ninth overall. Sofia Schou (13-10) completed the top ten.
Elsa Andersson (22-DNS) suffered a mechanical problem during the opening moto and was unable to start the second.
