This weekend saw the fifth round of the Swedish MXSM Championship take place in Ulricehamn.
Malou Jakobsen dominated all three races on the weekend’s schedule. The Dane had a slightly more challenging first race but managed to take the lead in the second half. With three wins, Jakobsen consolidates her championship lead with two rounds remaining.
Matilda Huss (2-2-2) gave it her all to secure the victory, notably leading for much of the first moto. The Husqvarna Scandinavia rider finished second. She has two rounds left to try and clinch another title.
Hilda Sjöberg (3-3-4) is back on the podium. Good starts allowed her to quickly position herself in the leading group, battling for the podium. The CEC Racing rider finished ahead of Tyra Bäckström (4-4-6), who came in fourth. Mistakes in two of the three races cost her a better result. In the championship standings, the two riders are tied on points in the race for the final podium.
Elsa Andersson Löf (8-6-3) improved steadily throughout the round. A top-five overall finish this round, with a final race that will serve her well for the future. The young Swede finished ahead of Mathea Selebø (6-5-5), who couldn’t find the right formula on this track. She is now fifth in the championship, two points off the podium.
Finnish rider Melissa Mäntylä (7-7-7) demonstrated consistency with a seventh-place finish. Tuva Nelson (5-10-8) finished eighth, ahead of Rosalita Eline Hovind (10-8-9). Wilma Hansson (9-9-10) completed the top ten, taking the holeshot in each of the races.
