Lucy Barker triumphs in challenging conditions at Tensfeld

The fifth round of the DMX Women’s German Motocross Championship took place in Tensfeld, where difficult weather conditions and a red flag during qualifying forced organisers to reduce the weekend’s schedule to a single race on Sunday.

Lucy Barker emerged victorious after fending off late pressure from Dutch rider Shana van der Vlist. The leading duo quickly broke away from the rest of the field and battled for the win until the chequered flag. Amber Simons completed the podium in third place, securing another strong result for the Dutch rider.

On the demanding Tensfeld sand track, championship leader Larissa Papenmeier knew damage limitation would be crucial against the sand specialists. The German rider managed the situation well, losing just two points to Simons and maintaining a healthy advantage in the standings.

Despite suffering a crash on Saturday, Elena Kapsamer (Becker Racing) delivered a solid performance to finish fifth. The Austrian showed strong pace throughout the race and comfortably secured her position in the closing stages.

Tanja Schlosser (Werthmann Racing Team by Mefo Sport) crossed the line in sixth after fighting her way forward following a difficult start. Dutch rider Jenitty van der Beek continued her recent good form with an impressive seventh-place finish in the sand.
Maxime Breugelmans marked her first appearance of the season in the championship with eighth place. Katharina Schultz (Crown MX Team) finished ninth, while Fiona Hoppe (Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing) rounded out the top ten.

Kyshara Das, competing on a 125cc machine and with limited sand preparation this season, finished eleventh. Meanwhile, championship third-place rider Alexandra Massury (RCK Racing Team) suffered a costly setback while working her way through the field. Finishing twelfth, she lost valuable points and now faces a bigger deficit in the battle for the second place.
