American rider Lachlan Turner continued his dominant 2026 Ezilift MXW Championship campaign with another commanding performance at Conondale.
In the opening moto, Turner cruised to victory ahead of Charli Cannon (Honda Racing Australia) and Taylah McCutcheon (JPM 360 Kawasaki). The second moto proved more eventful, as the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha rider crashed on the opening lap and dropped to fifth place. Showing his superior pace, Turner carved his way back through the field before passing Cannon with three laps remaining to secure another victory.
The four-time defending champion, still dealing with a shoulder blade injury, fought hard to limit the damage but had to settle for second. As a result, Cannon’s title hopes are now all but over. McCutcheon delivered another consistent ride in third, strengthening her hold on second place in the championship standings heading into this weekend’s season finale.
Madi Simpson (5-4) claimed fourth overall after another solid outing. The Yamaha rider was closely matched with Darci Whalley (4-6) and Emma Milesevic (6-5), with the trio now separated by just seven points in the battle for fourth in the championship.
Mia Tongue (7-7) enjoyed her strongest weekend of the season, combining consistency with solid speed to finish seventh overall. She was followed by New Zealand champion Karaitiana Horne (9-8), while Leah Rimbas (8-10) and Makayla Rimbas (10-9) rounded out the top ten.
