After setting the fastest time this morning, Lachlan Turner grabbed the holeshot ahead of Taylah McCutcheon, Charli Cannon, and Mikayla Nielsen.
Cannon, riding a Quad Lock Honda, took advantage of the end of the lap to overtake her compatriot McCutcheon. On the second lap, Turner, who already had a several-second lead, made a mistake, allowing Cannon to take the lead. The Altus Bru Cru Yamaha rider found herself in fourth place, right behind Nielsen.
Cannon had a lead of nearly 7 seconds, but the two-time defending champion refused to give up. After passing the two riders in front of her, Turner managed to get back on Cannon’s tail at the start of the final lap.
Behind them, Nielsen (SLR Honda) capitalized on a mistake by McCutcheon (Partzilla Blaster Power PRMX) in their battle to secure third place.
Finally, in the first sector, the reigning two-time WMX champion, Turner, passed Cannon and took a first victory. Behind this quartet was Jordan Jarvis. The Yamaha rider had the pace to fight for the podium, but her start dashed any hopes. After passing several riders, the gap to the leaders was already too large.
Behind Jarvis, a fierce battle unfolded between three riders with similar speed. Ultimately, Lilly-Ann Pettus edged out Emma Milesevic by a tenth of a second at the finish line. Piper Bell (Built Hard Racing) secured eighth position after a blistering start.
Offroad rider Ava Silvestri was also present. The Norman Racing rider achieved a strong ninth position. Brittany Marcotte (Moto Fit Club) completed the top ten. Having competed in the championship during Ashley Fiolek’s era, it was a pleasure to see her back on track, especially with such an impressive result.
