Lachlan Turner dominates the first race at Thunder Valley

The first race at Thunder Valley was dominated by Lachlan Turner, who remains undefeated so far.

To start the second round, Taylah McCutcheon grabbed the holeshot. Not at 100% this weekend due to tonsillitis, the Partzilla Blaster PRMX Racing rider quickly relinquished the lead to her compatriot Charli Cannon. Lachlan Turner, the two-time defending champion, made an early move to take the lead at the end of the first lap. The Altus Blu Cru Yamaha rider then put in a blistering lap, pushing her rivals back by several seconds. When Charli Cannon made a mistake, Turner managed to hold onto her lead to secure the victory. Cannon (Quad Lock Honda) managed to fight her way back to second place at the very end of the race, ahead of Taylah McCutcheon.

After a very poor start, Lotte van Drunen (Yamaha) staged a remarkable comeback to finish in fourth place. The two-time WMX world champion, who arrived in the United States just a few days ago, isn’t quite in the rhythm to contend for the win yet. Jordan Jarvis didn’t get a good start. But the Yamaha rider managed to overtake several riders to finish in the top five, just behind van Drunen.

Another very good start for Piper Bell. The KTM rider managed to hold off Emma Milesevic’s late charge. Lilly-Ann Pettus finished eighth after a big crash in qualification. The Triumph rider couldn’t find the right pace to compete higher up the order. Ava Silvestri finished ninth. The Norman Racing rider is showing great promise in motocross. Destiny Burgess completed the top ten in this first race.

Mikayla Nielsen was unable to finish the race despite being on the podium in this first race.
