The third round of the Italian 125cc Championship took place this weekend in Fermo, where Ana Kolnookov continued her perfect start to the season by securing another overall victory.
Race 1
Alessia Di Luccia made the perfect start and led the early stages of the race, but she was unable to resist the pace of Kolnookov in the closing laps. The KTM rider made her move with two laps remaining before pulling away to claim another race victory.
Valentina Giglio (Yamaha – Berbenno) completed the podium in third, while Carlotta Panchetti (Megan Racing) recovered from a difficult start to finish fourth.
Letizia Marconi (MCV Motorsport) rounded out the top five.
Race 2
The second race followed a similar scenario, with Alessia Di Luccia (Husqvarna – Caserta) once again taking the lead in the opening stages.
However, at mid-race distance, Ana Kolnookov (KTM) once again proved too strong and moved into the lead to secure her second win of the weekend.
Behind them, Valentina Giglio overtook Sofia Chermaz (Yamaha) early in the race to secure third place.
Carlotta Panchetti continued her consistent weekend with another top-five finish.
Overall
Ana Kolnookov secured her third overall victory of the season and further extended her advantage in the championship standings. The KTM rider currently appears to be a step ahead of the competition.
Despite leading for much of both races, Alessia Di Luccia had to settle for second overall after pushing hard throughout the weekend.
Valentina Giglio claimed another podium finish and strengthened her hold on third place in the championship.
Sofia Chermaz finished fourth overall, while Carlotta Panchetti completed the top five in Fermo.
