The second day of racing at Loretta Lynn’s featured the opening moto of the Girls class. Defending champion Hannah Jamison made an early statement, with the Husqvarna rider quickly taking the lead before stringing together a series of fast laps to build a commanding advantage. She eventually crossed the finish line more than 20 seconds clear of the competition.
Behind her, Tinley McCoy and Callie Sutton were locked in a fierce battle for second as Jamison disappeared up the track. McCoy eventually secured the runner-up spot, immediately establishing herself as one of the title favorites this week. Zoe Moore capitalized on a mistake from Sutton on the final lap to claim third, completing an impressive charge through the field for the Yamaha rider.
Kelsey Harris finished fourth after spending much of the race battling with Jasey Rae Jones, who crossed the line less than a second behind in fifth.
Kenzie Watteyne led a five-rider battle for sixth, finishing ahead of Reagan Heighton, Paetyn McCleskey, Ryleigh Davis and Brinley Shepheard, with the group remaining closely matched throughout the moto. After her costly final-lap mistake, Sutton dropped to 15th, dealing a major blow to her title hopes. However, she will be looking to bounce back in the remaining motos.
In the 85cc class, Raycin Kyler endured a difficult start to the week after several crashes. An overall podium now appears unlikely, but the talented American will be aiming to rebound over the coming days.
