Danée Gelissen secured another perfect weekend in Poland during the third round of the EMX Women’s Championship, claiming a double race victory to further extend her lead in the championship standings.
Race 1
Danée Gelissen grabbed the holeshot and immediately pulled away from the field, controlling the race from start to finish to take a dominant victory. Behind her, the battle for second place provided plenty of action between Laura Raunkjaer and Theodora Gumeniuc. In the end, the Danish rider from Meuwissen Motorsports managed to hold on, crossing the line just one second ahead of Gumeniuc. Despite suffering a crash during the race, Gumeniuc secured third overall and victory in the 125cc category.
Maxime Breugelmans (KTM) finished fourth ahead of compatriot Toke Tops, who claimed second place in the 125cc class aboard her TM machine. Kyshara Das (Fantic) showed strong pace but lost time through several mistakes during the race. Meanwhile, Adrija Skudutyte (KTM) recovered impressively to seventh place after an early error while fighting near the front.
Race 2
The second race began dramatically as both Danée Gelissen (Husqvarna) and Adrija Skudutyte crashed at the start. Gelissen responded with an incredible comeback ride, erasing a 12-second deficit in less than five laps before taking over the lead and cruising to another victory.
Behind her, Laura Raunkjaer once again resisted late pressure from Theodora Gumeniuc (KTM) to secure second place. The Romanian rider claimed another victory in the 125cc category and continued to impress with her pace throughout the weekend. Maxime Breugelmans finished fourth for the second consecutive race after leading for five laps before a costly mistake dropped her back.
Starting from the rear of the field, Kyshara Das produced a strong recovery ride to finish inside the top five ahead of Adrija Skudutyte.Toke Tops crossed the line seventh overall and third in the 125cc category.
Overall
With another double victory, Danée Gelissen further strengthened her position at the top of the championship standings. Laura Raunkjaer secured second overall and continues to establish herself as Gelissen’s closest challenger in the title fight.
Theodora Gumeniuc completed the overall podium while also taking victory in the 125cc class. Her strong weekend allowed her to reclaim the championship lead from Patricija Berzina. Maxime Breugelmans finished fourth overall in the Polish sand, while Kyshara Das secured second place in the 125cc standings, tied on points with Toke Tops.
