Invited along with 12 other WMX riders to participate in the inaugural WMX Invitational in Ridgedale, Lotte van Drunen suffered a heavy crash during Free Practice on Friday. The two-time WMX world champion attempted qualifying today, but the pain was too severe, forcing the Dutch rider to withdraw. It wasn’t the ending she had hoped for, but Lotte can count on the support of the Gizmo Racing Yamaha team, which has welcomed her to the United States.
