The GNCC Championship returned this weekend after its summer break, with Round 10 taking place at The John Penton in Ohio.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Korie Steede claimed the WXC class victory, battling through the slick and demanding conditions to lead the field to the finish.
FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Brandy Richards put together a strong ride, fighting through the challenging Ohio conditions to secure second in the class. AmPro Yamaha’s Danielle McDonald got a good jump off the line and ran third on the opening lap before going on to complete the podium.
With the victory, Steede regains the championship lead, although she is tied on points with Richards. McDonald sits just four points behind the leading duo.
Ellie Winland, riding for Shriver’s Pharmacy/Formation Cementing/Bi Con Winland’s Landscaping, delivered a solid performance to finish fourth. She crossed the line ahead of Carly Lee (KTM), Elizabeth Allen (Triumph), and Lilley Sheets (Yamaha).
In the Girls Super Mini (12-16) category, Cassie Fairfield secured her first victory, finishing ahead of Baylee Arsenault. Vaida Lavergne completed the podium and now holds a 15-point lead in the championship.
