A new title for Jamie Astudillo

This weekend saw the final round of the Canadian WMX Championship take place at Walton, with just six points separating championship contenders Jamie Astudillo and Jordan Jarvis heading into the season finale, with Jarvis holding the advantage.

Astudillo delivered when it mattered most, winning both races of the day to secure the Canadian WMX Championship title. The Priority MX rider showed impressive consistency throughout the season and finished the championship on a high.

Jarvis, meanwhile, suffered mechanical issues in both races. She was able to finish the first moto in second position, but her second race ended before it even started, as she was forced to retire while still on the starting gate. A disappointing end to the season for the Dusty Rocks MX Yamaha rider, who nevertheless secured second place in the championship.
Kaylie Kayer (3-2) finished second overall for the weekend. The Yamaha rider looked very comfortable throughout the races and secured a strong result that allowed her to finish third in the championship, just one point behind Jarvis.

Tinley McCoy (4-3) was also in action for the championship finale. The Kawasaki rider took full advantage of the opportunity to shine, claiming a place on the podium. The young American has enjoyed an impressive season.

Thaly Girard (6-4) secured her best result of the season with fourth overall, showing great consistency across both races. It is an encouraging result heading into next season.

Kiana Kurts (5-5) secured another top-five finish to end the season fifth in the championship. Victoria Dillon (7-6) finished sixth overall, ahead of Rosaly Sylvestre (8-8).
It was a difficult weekend for Brandy McLarty (10-7), who finished eighth overall. However, the result was enough to save her fourth position in the championship standings.

Tea Ferguson (9-11) rounded out the top ten for the final race weekend of the Canadian WMX Championship.
