Under beautiful sunny skies, Round 5 of the 2026 Triple Crown Series took place at one of Canada’s oldest tracks, Riverglade MX.
After a disappointing result at Gopher Dunes the previous week, Jamie Astudillo (1-1) bounced back in impressive fashion at Round 5, winning both motos ahead of Jordan Jarvis (2-2). Astudillo looked extremely comfortable on the technical and rutted Riverglade MX track, and in both races she capitalized on some uncharacteristic mistakes from Jarvis. Despite losing points this weekend, Jordan Jarvis continues to lead the championship standings with a 14-point advantage over Astudillo.
MX101 Yamaha rider Kaylie Kayer (3-3) completed the WMX podium. She continues to deliver consistent results, and this podium finish rewards the hard work she has put in this season. Local rider Hannah Cole (5-4) also had a strong performance, finishing fourth overall. It was her best result of the season and a confidence boost heading into the final rounds of the championship.
Kiana Kurz (4-5) secured fifth overall, finishing tied on points. She enjoyed a great battle with Cole in the opening moto. Sarah-Kim Villeneuve (8-6) claimed a solid sixth-place finish. The KTM rider has only competed in a handful of rounds this season but has already produced some impressive performances. Tea Ferguson (7-8) achieved her best result of the season and continues to climb the championship standings.
What a weekend for Thaly Girard (10-7)! The Husqvarna rider secured her first Top 10 finish of the season in impressive fashion. Meanwhile, Brandy McLarty (6-11) endured a challenging weekend, with too many crashes affecting her results. The outcome has dropped her out of championship podium contention, but the Husqvarna rider still has three rounds to turn things around.
Victoria Dillon (9-9) completed the Top 10 at Riverglade MX.
