Danielle McDonald takes control at Watkins Glen as WXC title fight heats up

AmPro Yamaha’s Danielle McDonald who delivered a commanding performance during the race to secure victory at Watkins Glen. Riding with confidence and consistency, McDonald handled the demanding New York terrain perfectly and maintained a strong pace from start to finish to stand on the top step of the podium.

FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Brandy Richards kept the pressure on throughout the race, battling hard in pursuit of the lead. Richards once again showed impressive speed and consistency, remaining among the frontrunners all race long as she secured a strong second-place finish.

Defending WXC champion Korie Steede faced adversity early after suffering a crash, but the Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna Racing rider refused to give up. Steede mounted an impressive comeback ride, charging back through the field to salvage third place and complete the podium after a determined effort.

With Danielle McDonald regaining a slight advantage in the championship standings, the battle between the top three riders promises to intensify over the final rounds of the season.
Just behind the podium, Jocelyn Barnes secured another fourth-place finish. The Husqvarna rider crossed the line ahead of Carly Lee (KTM) and Lilley Sheets (Yamaha), with the trio continuing their close fight for fourth in the championship standings. Emma Smith (GasGas) finished seventh, followed by Addison Harris (KTM) and Taylor Johnston (Triumph). Elizabeth Allen (TM) rounded out the Top 10.

In the Women’s class, Megan Janyssek claimed yet another victory, continuing her dominant run this season. Zoey Kimble finished in second position, while Madison Harmon completed the podium.

Meanwhile, in the Girls Super Mini (12-16) category, Vaida Lavergne earned another win to move one step closer to securing the championship title. After missing several rounds, Isla Kastel made a successful return to competition with a second-place finish, while Kendall Bierly celebrated her first podium result with third place.
