On a track thoroughly soaked by both the organizers and overnight rain, the second round of the WMX World Championship got underway with the Free Practice session. Kiara Fontanesi topped the timesheets ahead of Lotte van Drunen. April Franzoni continued to showcase the progress made over the winter by securing third place, ahead of championship leader Daniela Guillen. In her 100th and final Grand Prix appearance, Larissa Papenmeier rounded out the top five in this opening session. After a short break, the WMX riders will return to the track at 12:10 for Qualifying Practice.
