The promoter has just unveiled the calendar for the 2026/2027 French Sand Racing Championship, featuring six rounds. The season will kick off in October on the beach at Berck-sur-Mer. In early November, the second round, the Ronde des Sables, will take place in Loon-Plage.
Saint-Léger-de-Balson will host the third round. The riders will then head to Hossegor the following weekend. The Gurp TT in Grayan-et-L’Hôpital will host the fifth round of the championship in mid-January. The legendary Enduropale du Touquet will conclude the season. The remaining rounds have not yet been announced by the organizers.
On the competitive front, Mathilde Martinez secured the title this season. The Honda rider will attempt to defend her crown. She should face stiff competition, notably from Mathilde Denis, Camille Viaud, and Laurine Hugues. Other riders to watch, as well as the up-and-coming and junior riders, will also be worth keeping an eye on. Meanwhile, multiple-time winner Amandine Verstappen has decided to focus for the time being on the French MXF motocross championship and the WMX world championship.
