Amandine Verstappen to refocus on Motocross

With the sand season over, Amandine Verstappen has just announced her decision to focus on motocross. The talented Belgian rider explained on social media that she made this decision a few months ago and prefers to pursue motocross, which has given her more excitement.

The Yamaha rider, fifth in the last WMX World Championship, has amassed an impressive record in this sand racing discipline. A three-time winner of the legendary Le Touquet race, she has also earned a French championship title, a world championship title, and finished as runner-up twice.

In addition to wanting to shine again in the WMX World Championship, Amandine can further cement her place in history by winning an eighth French MXF championship title. If she succeeds, she will break the record of seven titles held by Livia Lancelot, a record she equaled in 2025.
