Amandine Verstappen extends her unbeaten streak at Bibione

Amandine Verstappen continues her perfect season, maintaining her unbeaten streak in the FIM Sand Races World Championship 2025. This weekend, the Belgian rider dominated once again during the third round in Bibione, Italy, confirming her place at the top of the standings.

The highly anticipated showdown between championship leader Amandine Verstappen and six-time world champion Kiara Fontanesi delivered on all expectations. On Saturday, Fontanesi thrilled her home crowd by overtaking Verstappen at the pit exit to take the race win. But on Sunday, Verstappen struck back in style — claiming victory by 16 seconds and securing the overall win of the Italian round. With this result, she extends her lead in the world championship standings. After a crash, Fontanesi gave everything in front of her fans and family, finishing second overall. The GasGas rider capped off a strong weekend and continues to show excellent form this season.

French rider Mathilde Denis completed the podium in third after two consistent races, narrowly beating her compatriot Camille Viaud in a close fight this sunday. Sara Jugla finished fifth overall, while Ema Satabin secured fifth place in the Junior category.

The FIM Sand Races World Championship will now move to France in one month’s time, where Amandine Verstappen will look to defend her unbeaten run and further solidify her dominance in the 2025 season.
