Lynn Valk suffered a major crash during the first race of the MXGP of Netherlands while climbing the rankings. After an early mistake, she climbed back to the edge of the top 10 with many laps remaining. Evacuated to the hospital, she has a broken tibia and is currently undergoing surgery. She was in the title fight and had set the fastest time in qualifying. The Van Venroy KTM rider will face a long recovery period, but there’s no doubt she’ll be back even stronger.
