Tyra Bäckström will continue her journey with the MC Sport Racing Team for the 2026 WMX season, confirming a strong and successful partnership.
After finishing 14th overall in the 2025 FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship, Bäckström has shown steady improvement and consistency throughout the year. She will once again line up aboard a GasGas MC 250F, a bike she knows well and feels confident on.
The young Swede made significant strides this past season, regularly battling within the top fifteen and posting several of her career-best results in the world championship. With more experience under her belt and a stable team environment, Bäckström’s goal is clear — to break into the Top 10 in the WMX standings and fight for the national title in the Swedish Motocross Championship.
