Rosie Rowett extends her lead at Spanish Enduro Championship Round 2 in Gironella

The second round of the 2024 Spanish Enduro Championship took place this weekend in Gironella, with an intense day of racing under the Catalan sun. The event was contested over a single day, but that didn’t stop Rosie Rowett from delivering a dominant performance in the women’s enduro category.

Championship leader Rosie Rowett (Rieju) showcased her impressive form once again, securing a commanding victory. She crossed the finish line more than three minutes ahead of her nearest rival, further solidifying her position at the top of the Spanish Enduro Championship standings.

Husqvarna rider Mireia Rabionet finished second after a strong effort, managing to limit the damage and keep her championship hopes alive. Rabionet stayed consistent throughout the day, maintaining close pressure on Rowett in the overall rankings.

Completing the podium was Maria San Miguel, who finished 42 seconds behind Rabionet. Despite her third-place result, San Miguel admitted struggling to find the right feeling on the demanding Gironella course.

It was a challenging day for many riders, with Ignacia Correa and Aitana Penan unfortunately unable to complete the event.

As the Spanish Enduro Championship continues, all eyes will be on whether Rosie Rowett can maintain her unbeaten streak and secure the 2025 title in the women’s class.
