Mikayla Nielsen remains unbeaten at AMA NGPC Series Round 5 in Pala

The fifth round of the 2025 AMA National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC Series) brought the racers to Pala, California, for another thrilling day of competition. Mikayla Nielsen once again proved untouchable, dominating the race from start to finish.

Riding for Honda SLR, Nielsen opened up a strong one-minute gap early in the race, controlling the pace and staying ahead until the checked flag. With her continued dominance, Nielsen edges closer to clinching another AMA NGPC Women’s title. If she maintains this level without major mistakes, the championship seems almost certain to be hers.

Ava Silvestri, riding for GasGas, once again finished second. Despite not being at 100% fitness at the start of the season, Silvestri has continuously closed the gap to Nielsen and continues to apply pressure.

Madison Weber claimed the final podium spot after an intense early battle with Ty Woolslayer. The KTM rider secured her second podium of the season, building valuable momentum as the series progresses.

Yamaha racer Ty Woolslayer crossed the line in fourth, maintaining his third place in the overall championship standings. Meanwhile, Husqvarna’s Dana Raynor had a good start, running close to podium positions before a series of small mistakes made him lose contact. She finished fifth.

The AMA NGPC Series now looks ahead to Round 6, where the competition promises to get even tighter in the women’s championship.
