The FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup returns for its third edition

The highly anticipated third edition of the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup is officially confirmed for March 21–22 in Wonthaggi, Australia, running alongside a round of the Australian Motocross Championship.

Australia, winners of the first two editions, will once again enter the event as the dominant force. With Charli Cannon expected to lead the squad, the home team will aim to defend its undefeated record.

Team USA is also returning and is widely considered the main challenger for the title. Team New Zealand will be back in action, while Team Asia will make its debut in the competition. However, Team Africa, scheduled to appear in 2025, will not participate this year.

A notable change for this edition: each nation will field four riders, one fewer than last year. The event will follow the same structure as previous editions, with three races on the program. The final classification will be determined using the 11 best results out of 12, ensuring consistency and depth are key to securing victory.

The 2026 FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup promises another intense international showdown as the world’s top female riders battle for regional supremacy in Wonthaggi.

FIM Oceania President, Peter Doyle: The FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup has produced magnificent racing over the last two years, especially in 2025 as the event went down to the wire in an absolute thriller which was broadscast on live television around the world — worthy given the quality of the racing.

I expect the 2026 event to be another brilliant showcase of women’s motocross, and I’d like to extend a warm welcome to FIM Asia, which will add even more excitement and depth to the event.”
