This weekend marked the fourth round of the ADAC Women’s Motocross Championship in Bielstein, held alongside the ADAC MX Masters. The race format resembled the MXGP structure, with one moto on Saturday and the second on Sunday morning. On a technical and changing track, top female riders battled for crucial championship points.
Race 1: Papenmeier Dominates, Jakobsen holds strong
Lisa Michels grabbed the holeshot ahead of Larissa Papenmeier and Malou Jakobsen, but both riders quickly passed her after just a few turns. A red flag came out early in lap two after a crash, forcing a restart.
On the restart, Papenmeier launched into the lead, diving inside Jakobsen in the first corner. Behind them, the pack included Tanja Schlosser, Lisa Michels, Alexandra Massury, Kim Irmgartz, Mara Benecke, and Elena Kapsamer. While Papenmeier pulled away up front, Jakobsen had to defend from the charging Schlosser-Michels duo, with reigning champion Massury closing in.
Papenmeier secured a clear win, Jakobsen took second, and Massury finished strong to grab third.
Top 10 – Race 1:
1. Papenmeier – 2. Jakobsen – 3. Massury – 4. Michels – 5. Schlosser – 6. Kapsamer – 7. Benecke – 8. Irmgartz – 9. Hoppe – 10. Schultz
Race 2: Another win for Papenmeier
On a freshly watered track, Papenmeier once again grabbed the holeshot, leading Jakobsen into turn one. The circuit had become more one-lined compared to Saturday, making passing more difficult.
Jakobsen rode alone in second while third place became a hotly contested battle. Following a crash by Michels, Tanja Schlosser moved up, but soon came under pressure from Elena Kapsamer and Alexandra Massury. Both passed her before mid-race.
Papenmeier (SYE 423 Racing Team) stormed to her second win of the weekend. Jakobsen (KL Racing Team) claimed another solid second, while Massury (RCK Racing Team) beat Kapsamer (Werthmann Racing Team) to round off the podium.
Top 10 – Race 2:
1. Papenmeier – 2. Jakobsen – 3. Massury – 4. Kapsamer – 5. Schlosser – 6. Benecke – 7. Irmgartz – 8. Michels – 9. Hoppe – 10. Schittenhelm
Papenmeier pulls ahead in the Championship
With a dominant 1-1 double win, Larissa Papenmeier extends her championship lead at the halfway point of the season. Fast and consistent, she remains the rider to beat. Malou Jakobsen (2-2) impressed with strong starts and continues her podium streak across multiple championships. Alexandra Massury (3-3) showed strong late-race pace and is emerging as Papenmeier’s main title rival.
Elena Kapsamer (6-4) impressed with aggressive overtakes across both motos. Tanja Schlosser (5-5) battled hard against top-level competition and continues to improve. Lisa Michels (4-8) showed speed all weekend and won the MX Ladies powered by DMV category. Mara Benecke (7-6) edged out Kim Irmgartz (8-7) again for 7th overall. Fiona Hoppe (9-9) is still finding her rhythm after her injury. Selina Schittenhelm (11-10) completes the Top 10 and finishes 2nd in the MX Ladies category behind Michels.
Larissa Papenmeier : “Yeah, it was a great weekend again. Couldn’t go any better. I had two hole shots, two race wins. Could pull a gap to Malou Jakobsen. So, yeah, it wasn’t 100% that I was riding, maybe like 85 or something. But the track was fun. Yeah, the fans were amazing, like always. It was a good organization. I mean, it was a nice feeling to ride with the ADAC MX Masters together. So, yeah, it’s good for the girls, good for publicity. Next weekend, we’re going to go for the next round in Tensfeld. And, yeah, I mean, if I say it under us, I heard that, oh, I know that Kiara Fontanesi is coming. So, maybe I have some more competition there or some things to do, yeah, to push myself to 100% and give 100%.”
The ADAC Women’s Motocross Championship continues next week in Tensfeld, where the battle for podiums and championship momentum will heat up again. Can anyone stop Papenmeier’s charge?
