MXGP of the Netherlands : WMX Manufacturers Classification

This weekend in the Netherlands could have marked a turning point for the Manufacturers’ standings in the WMX World Championship.

Ultimately, Yamaha and GasGas neutralized each other this weekend, and the gap remains at four points in favor of the French team. Daniela Guillen won the race with the same number of points as Lotte van Drunen. KTM remains third in the standings, but their best representative, Lynn Valk, was injured. Lucy Barker earned the points for the Austrian brand thanks to her best result in the World Championship.

Honda remains fourth thanks to points from Larissa Papenmeier in the first race and April Franzoni in the second. Kawasaki remains in the top five, not far from Honda. The French team is counting on Martine Hughes to score points, as she did in Arnhem. Matha Selebø scored nine points for Fantic, which allows the manufacturers to maintain sixth place ahead of Triumph, led by Amber Simons and Fiona Hoppe.

KTM appears to be falling out of the title race following Valk’s injury. The battle between Yamaha and GasGas promises to be a close one until the MXGP of Australia.
