The final round of the 2025 EMX Women’s European Championship took place this weekend at Velke Uherce, Slovakia — a track well-liked by many of the competitors. With a seven-point lead entering the weekend, Lucy Barker delivered a flawless performance, securing the overall win (1-1) and claiming her second EMX Women’s title, despite missing one round earlier in the season.
Barker delivers a Champion's performance
Barker had full control over her championship fate heading into Sunday’s motos. The British rider dominated both races, winning convincingly and proving her consistency under pressure. Already a former EMX Women 125 champion, she now adds a second EMX Women’s European title to her résumé — an impressive accomplishment for the young talent.
Kapsamer Vice-Champion, Bohle Earns First Podium
Elena Kapsamer (2-2) showed remarkable progress in recent weeks and fought hard in Slovakia. Equaling Barker’s pace in the first moto, the Austrian rider gave everything in her attempt to challenge for the title but ultimately had to settle for second overall and the Vice-Champion spot in the standings. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed, and her development this season has been significant.
Kapsamer was joined on the podium by her compatriot Jana Bohle (4-4). The Husqvarna rider achieved her first-ever EMX Women podium, rounding off a dream weekend. This historic result marks the first time two Austrian riders share the podium in a European or international motocross race.
Andersson Löf secures third in the Championship
Elsa Andersson Löf (3-7) finished fourth on the day but clinched third overall in the 2025 championship riding her 125cc bike. After strong early-season results — including leading both the EMX Women and EMX 125 standings at one point — the Swedish rider finishes her campaign on a high note.
Top 5 finish for Kyshara Das in final round
Kyshara Das (8-5) delivered one of her best performances of the season to finish fifth overall in Slovakia. The young Dutch rider made strong starts in both motos and showed good pace in the second race, where she stayed close to the leading group. Her consistency throughout the weekend helped her secure seventh place in the final championship standings — a promising result for the future.
A disputed Top 10
Aneta Cepeláková (6-8) showed determination despite carrying shoulder pain from a crash during Saturday’s qualifying. The Czech rider, representing the Yamaha Cepelák Racing Team, pushed through both motos with a solid and calculated approach. Her sixth-place finish on the day was a testament to her resilience. Laura Raunkjaer (5-9) had an encouraging showing in Slovakia with a strong first moto, where she made an impressive comeback from the mid-pack to take fifth place. The second race proved more challenging, with a few mistakes costing her valuable positions. Despite this, the Danish rider from SYE Racing Team 423 finishes sixth overall in the championship, tied in points with the fifth-place finisher.
Jenny Engeland (10-6) experienced a weekend of mixed fortunes. A series of errors in the opening moto pushed her at the end of the top 10, but she bounced back with a clean and fast second race, showcasing her speed and control to finish sixth in the moto. Thanks to her overall consistency throughout the season, the Norwegian rider finished fifth in the final standings. Theodora Gumeniuc (7-10) had a competitive first race, battling inside the Top 5 for several laps aboard her 125cc machine. The Romanian rider made minor mistakes in Race 2 but still managed a top 10 finish. This consistent performance allowed her to conclude her season in 10th place in the championship, with valuable experience gained at the European level. Adrija Skudutyté (DNF-3) was battling with Elsa Andersson Löf for third place in the championship this weekend. Unfortunately for the Lithuanian rider, her bike broke down a few laps into the first race just as she had overtaken the Swede. A strong second race secured fourth place in the championship.
