After several months of hiatus, the Spanish Women’s Motocross Championship returned to action this weekend in Malpartido de Cáceres for the third round of the 2025 season.
There was no stopping Jana Sánchez, who delivered a flawless performance across both days of racing. The Mequitec Racing rider won Saturday and Sunday’s motos with a commanding 20-second lead, strengthening her position at the top of the standings and moving one step closer to the national title, which will be decided next weekend in Morón.
Behind her, Natalia Rosado (2–3) enjoyed an excellent weekend. The Larry Bikes rider battled hard with Carmen Gómez in the second moto but had to settle for third. Still, her strong results consolidated her second place in the championship — making her the only rider who can mathematically challenge Sánchez for the title. Zoe Querol (3–4) claimed her first podium finish of the season. The Team Castro MX rider showed consistency and precision throughout the weekend, avoiding mistakes and earning valuable points.
Carmen Gómez (8–2) finished just off the podium. A costly mistake in the first race forced her to fight back on Sunday, where she impressively took second. Despite missing the podium, the Bermúdez Yamaha rider remains third overall in the standings.
Sofia Gomez (4/5) achieved a good Top 5. The GasGas driver had two very good races while fighting to maintain her best result in the first round. Further down the order, Cristina De Juan Flores (Larry Bikes) took sixth place, followed by Maria Ines Gandum (Mastervan), Alba Sánchez (Las Arenas), and Aroa Castroman. Laura Peñalver (Novelsa Riders) completed the top 10.
The championship now heads to Morón for the grand finale — where Jana Sánchez will look to seal the 2025 Spanish Women’s Motocross Championship crown.
