The final round of the 2025 EMX Women 125 European Championship took place this weekend in Velke Uherce, Slovakia, marking the end of a season full of talent and rising stars.
Back-to-Back titles for Andersson Löf
Elsa Andersson Löf (1-2) claimed another victory and officially secured the EMX Women 125 European Championship title for the second year in a row. The young Swedish rider showed race management and maturity throughout the season, and by winning again in Slovakia, she became only the second rider to retain her crown in the 125 class since its creation in 2019 — joining Martine Hughes in that achievement.
Kyshara Das – Vice-Champion in her comeback season
Kyshara Das (3-2) took second overall in Slovakia and secured the European Vice-Champion title. The Dutch rider returned to competition this season after a two-year break and immediately proved she still had the speed and technique to be a top contender. Her consistent performance across the championship confirmed her place among Europe’s top young talents.
Theodora Gumeniuc takes another podium
With a 2-3 score, Theodora Gumeniuc closed out her season with another strong podium finish. The Romanian rider found consistency in the final rounds and continued to build momentum. She ends the season fourth overall in the championship, gaining valuable experience at the European level.
Vanessa Zimmermanová impresses at home
Vanessa Zimmermanová (4-5) delivered one of her strongest performances of the season in front of her home fans. With consistent top-five speed, she finished fourth overall on the day, confirming her progress in the second half of the championship.
Demi Verploegh clinches championship podium
Demi Verploegh (6-4) battled through a difficult weekend in Slovakia but still achieved her season-long objective — finishing on the final EMX Women 125 podium. Returning to the class after competing at a higher level, she showed her experience but narrowly missed the runner-up spot to her compatriot Kyshara Das.
Sára Polásová (5-6) made a solid debut at European level, finishing sixth overall in her home round. She rode two strong motos and was just three points off her teammate Zimmermanová. A promising start for the young Slovak talent.
Rita-Liisa Mooses (8-7) posted two stable and mistake-free races to secure seventh overall on the day. While not the fastest on track, the Estonian rider’s consistency has been key throughout the season.
Anna Klimciková (9-8) and Nina Klimciková (10-9) took eighth and ninth place, respectively. Both riders delivered encouraging performances on familiar terrain, showing progress and competitiveness in a high-level field.
Joela Freudenthaler (7-DNS) showed great pace in Race 1 with a solid top-10 finish, but she didn’t lining up for the second moto. She still closed the weekend tenth overall, demonstrating speed despite limited track time.
Patricija Berzina (11-DNS), once considered a title favorite, had a bad weekend in Slovakia with a crash at the beginning of Race 1. After a season marked by ups and downs, she finishes fifth in the overall standings — a strong result, but below expectations for the talented Latvian rider.
