It is now official: Daniela Guillén will remain with the RFME GasGas team for the 2026 WMX World Championship. After finishing third overall in the most recent season, the Spanish rider continues her long-term partnership with GasGas as she pursues her ultimate goal—becoming WMX World Champion.
A two-time WMX runner-up and one-time third-place finisher, Guillén has established herself as one of the most consistent and competitive riders in the championship. Her 2025 campaign saw her finish just eight points behind world champion Lotte van Drunen, underlining how close she came to the title fight.
Guillén’s season did not begin smoothly. At the opening round in Sardinia, she suffered a costly crash while battling for victory in the first moto. Despite this setback, she responded strongly, securing two race wins and remaining a constant presence at the front of the field.
Her championship challenge was also affected by a five-point penalty following a yellow flag infringement, a decision that played a role in the final standings. Nevertheless, her speed, consistency, and resilience made her one of the standout riders of the season.
With continuity inside the RFME GasGas structure, Daniela Guillén enters 2026 with stability and renewed determination. As one of the most experienced riders in the WMX paddock, she will once again be among the main contenders for the world title when the new season begins.
