FX Action, promoter of the Italian Motocross Championship, has officially revealed the calendar for the 2026 season. The announcement comes shortly after another remarkable year in which Kiara Fontanesi reaffirmed her dominance, securing the 2025 title ahead of Danée Gelissen and Giorgia Montini.
The new season will consist of seven rounds held between April and October, maintaining the structure that has helped the championship grow into one of Europe’s most competitive national series in women’s motocross. All eyes will once again be on Kiara Fontanesi, who enters 2026 as the overwhelming favorite. After capturing her ninth national crown, the six-time WMX World Champion will aim for an unprecedented tenth Italian title, a milestone that would further elevate her already historic career.
Her main challenger is expected to be Danée Gelissen, who finished second last season and showed that she is one of the few riders capable of applying real pressure to Fontanesi over the course of a championship. Giorgia Montini, a two-time Italian champion, will also be among the frontrunners after several solid performances in 2025.
Czech rider Aneta Cepelaková, who achieved her best season yet by finishing fourth overall, returns with ambition and growing confidence. The field will once again feature a strong Italian presence. Riders such as Clarissa Tognaccini, Cecilia Polato—crowned U19 Champion last season—Priska Busatto, Giorgia Giudici, Gaia Franchi and Emanuela Talucci are all expected to play key roles throughout the championship.
Rising talent Alessia Di Luccia, the reigning U17 Champion, will be closely watched as she steps into a new phase of her career, and Ana Kolnookov, who impressed in her first appearance, is another rider poised to take a significant leap forward. Will Lynn Valk, who signed with TM, be present behind the starting grid? It’s a possibility.
With experienced contenders, emerging talent and a calendar made for close battles, the 2026 Italian Motocross Championship promises a season filled with intensity and renewed rivalries. The opening round will take place on April 11th in Città di Castello, where the first answers to the many off-season questions will finally begin to unfold.
