Lachlan Turner has joined the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha Team to compete in the Australian MXW Championship for the next two seasons, following an agreement with Yamaha US. She will also take part in the MXGP of Australia, the final round of the WMX World Championship.
The two-time US champion will line up at the opening round of the Australian ProMX Motocross Championship in Wonthaggi and is set to contest the remaining rounds of the series. The event will also host the third edition of the FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup. While nothing has been officially confirmed, it is highly likely that she will represent the United States team.
Lachlan will also travel to Darwin in September to compete in her first round of the WMX World Championship. Prior to that, she will aim to secure a third national title. The battle against Charli Cannon promises to be thrilling, both in the USA and Australia.
Lachlan Turner : « It’s so cool that I will be able to race in Australia and the US for the next two seasons and promote women’s racing. Thank you to Yamaha for putting this together for me and I’m pumped to get this chance. I already have a great relationship with the Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha team from when I was here in March and then again when I was here at Supercross with my brother Lux. I know they will have everything ready for me, and I can’t wait to race in Australia again. »
