Motorcycling New Zealand has officially confirmed the riders selected to represent New Zealand at the 2026 FIM International Six Days Enduro, set to take place in Grândola in Portugal from 12–17 October 2026.
Widely regarded as the “Olympics of Motorcycling,” the ISDE is one of the most prestigious and demanding events in off-road racing. Bringing together the world’s top enduro athletes, the competition challenges riders across six intense days of racing that test speed, endurance, consistency, mechanical ability, and teamwork. The 2026 edition will also celebrate a major milestone as the event marks its 100th anniversary.
Leading New Zealand’s Women’s Trophy Team is internationally recognised rider Rachael Archer, who heads into Portugal with ambitions of claiming the women’s overall title. Archer has firmly established herself among the elite riders in world enduro, following an outstanding second-place finish in the Women’s individual standings at the 2024 ISDE in Spain. That event also marked New Zealand’s historic debut in the Women’s World Trophy category.
Originally from the Waikato region, Archer has built an impressive international career, including multiple GNCC WXC championships in the United States. Her return to top-level international competition comes shortly after becoming a mother, adding another inspiring chapter to an already remarkable journey in the sport.
With extensive international experience and proven pace at the highest level, Archer is expected to be one of the standout riders to watch at the centenary edition of the ISDE.
Joining her in the New Zealand line-up is Charlotte Knight, originally from Whakatāne and now based in the United Kingdom, where she works as a mechatronics engineer for Triumph Motorcycles. Also selected is rising young talent Bailey Newbould from South Wairarapa, who at just 15 years old is already considered one of New Zealand’s most exciting prospects in women’s off-road racing.
Together, the trio brings a strong combination of international experience, technical skill, and emerging talent as New Zealand prepares to compete on the world stage once again.
