The Danish Motocross Championship (DMU) kicks off this weekend at Starkærbanen.

Four-time Danish champion Line Dam (Easy Racing) returns to defend her title and will once again be the rider to beat. She’ll face strong competition from Sara Andersen (Wozniak MX Yamaha Racing Team), who makes her comeback on her bike after a six-month break from racing.

Malou Jakobsen lines up for her first race of the season, while Elsa Andersson Löf (ATV Racing Team) continues her preparations by taking part in this opening round. Louise Eriksen, who finished third last year, will also be in attendance.

Watch out as well for Barbara Aagaard Andersen, Anna Henriksen Legaard, and Jasmina Rasksen, all capable of shaking up the order.

Lotte van Drunen continues her preparations with a third GP this year. The De Baets AIT Racing rider, who recently competed against the men in the Dutch championship, will be back behind the starting grid for the MX2 World Championship this weekend in Sardinia. After scoring a point in Andalusia, the Dutch rider was unable to repeat that performance in Switzerland.

This Monday marks the start of the DMX German Motocross Championship in Lübtheen.

Reigning champion Larissa Papenmeier will be the overwhelming favorite for this new edition. Alexandra Massury, winner in 2024 and runner-up in 2025, is a strong contender, as is Elena Kapsamer. The Austrian finished on the championship podium last year.

For this first round of the year, we’ll also be watching the performances of Tanja Schlosser, Fiona Hoppe, Mara Benecke, Lexi Pachmann, and Emely Köhler.

Many international riders have made the trip, including Danée Gelisen, who will be one of the contenders for the win. We’ll also be keeping an eye on the performances of Laura Raunkjaer, Amber Simons, Wiktoria Kupczyk, and many others. Kyshara Das, the European 125 runner-up, will also be competing.

This weekend saw the first round of the BMU (Balkan Motorcycling Union) championship. This organization brings together the national motorcycling sporting authorities from Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, North Macedonia, Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Moldova. This Sunday saw the second round of the French MXF Championship take place in La Couronne. April Franzoni delivered a superb performance, winning both motos and thus leaving this round as the championship leader. Celia Duborper took the victory in the 125cc class. Check out the results.
