Lotte van Drunen claims her third U.S. Title at Mini O’s

The Women’s Supercross final at Mini O’s delivered intense action this afternoon, with Lotte van Drunen securing yet another major victory on American soil—her third U.S. title.

The race opened with Mayla Herrick grabbing the holeshot ahead of van Drunen, followed closely by Hannah Hodges, Lucy Barker, and Danielle McDonald. Herrick looked strong through the opening lap, but a solo crash early in lap two abruptly ended her championship hopes. The American rider completed the lap before withdrawing from the race.

With Herrick out, Lotte van Drunen, the two-time WMX World Champion, moved into the lead. Under pressure from Supercross specialist Hannah Hodges, the Dutch rider maintained a steady, fast pace and gradually extended her gap. Lap after lap, van Drunen tightened her control and ultimately crossed the finish line to claim the win—securing her third title in the United States.

Hodges held strong in second place, fending off a late charge from Lucy Barker, who continues to showcase sharp form after a strong start to the week. Barker, a three-time European champion, is also expected to be a major contender once the motocross portion of Mini O’s begins.

Danielle McDonald delivered a confident and consistent ride to finish fourth, backed by a solid start and clean laps. Mila Baltyk followed in fifth, with a good rhythm after her victory in LCQ.

Despite a difficult start, Brianna Scheltema managed one of the best comebacks of the race, pushing through the field to finish sixth. Piper Bell crossed the line right behind her in seventh, followed by Kelsey Harris and Taylor Miller, who fought closely throughout the moto.

After a series of exciting battles, Elena Kapsamer rounded out the top ten.
