Rachel Gutish on top of the world

This Sunday marked the second and final day of the EnduroGP in Zschopau, Germany.

Rachel Gutish only needed a few points to secure the world title — but the Rieju rider went one step further, taking another dominant victory and making history as the first American woman to win the Enduro World Championship. What a season for Gutish, who showed incredible consistency with a string of first- and second-place finishes.

Her teammate Rosie Rowett rounded out a fantastic weekend for the Rieju team. The British rider, locked in a close battle with Francesca Nocera, claimed second place on the day — a result that allowed her to hold onto second place in the overall standings. Rowett’s brilliant home victory earlier in the season will remain one of the highlights of her year.

For Francesca Nocera, the season ended much like it began — with highs and heartbreak. The Italian rider from the Official Honda team was forced to retire on Sunday due to a mechanical issue. After winning the opening round of the season, Nocera suffered a knee injury in May but pushed through in hopes of fighting for the championship. A mechanical failure in Portugal dashed those hopes, but there’s no doubt she’ll return with a vengeance in 2026.

Justine Martel wrapped up her season with a podium finish, securing fourth place in the championship ahead of Vilde Marie Holt, who finished fourth on the final day. For the Norwegian, a top-five finish in the world standings and the European Championship title mark an outstanding season. Marine Lemoine added another top-five result, followed by Joana Goncalves, Lorna Lafont, Maria San Miguel, and Elizabeth Tett for this final round.

Rachel Gutish (RIEJU): “It’s hard to put into words just how much this means to me. It’s been a lot of work to get to this moment, I’m speechless, but super happy.”
