Amandine Verstappen wins the Enduro del Invierno in Argentina

This Saturday, the Enduro del Invierno took place in Argentina, the second round of the FIM Sand Races World Championship. Due to weather conditions, both races initially scheduled for Sunday, were brought forward to Saturday.

Belgian rider Amandine Verstappen (New Bike Yamaha) dominated the event, winning both races with a one-lap lead over her closest rival. With this double victory, she further strengthened her position at the top of the championship standings.
France’s Mathilde Denis secured second place overall, delivering two strong performances. Her compatriot Camille Viaud was forced to retire from the first race and crossed the line just over three minutes behind Denis in the second, after nearly 45 minutes of racing. Meanwhile, Sara Jugla finished third in race one and fourth in race two.

The Winter Enduro also featured a women’s category, where Guadalupe Alonso claimed victory with a 20-second margin over Camila Lopez, closely followed by Cadelaria Lima, who finished just a few tenths behind.

The championship continues in Italy at the end of October for the next round.
