This Friday, the 2025 edition of the ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) concluded in Bergamo, Italy. It’s important to note that despite difficult conditions, there were no retirements.
The heavy favorites, the United States team of Brandy Richards, Korie Steede, and Rachel Gutish, won another title. With their sixth title, the Americans tied the Australians’ record of six wins in this Women’s Trophy. Richards, back to her best after her injury, set the best individual time ahead of her compatriots Korie Steede and Rachel Gutish. A deserved victory, nearly 7 minutes ahead of the Australian team. Jessica Gardiner had an incredible week, finishing fifth overall and winning another medal in her fourteenth participation. Supported by Danielle McDonald, who is increasingly asserting herself. Madison Healey, replacing Tayla Jones, delivered strong results for the team.
France completed the podium once again. Second at the start of the week, the French women did everything they could to secure second place, narrowly missing out. Key players in this team, Justine Martel and Mauricette Brisebard, set very good times. Young rider Lorna Lafont impressed in her first participation.
On home soil, the Italian women did everything they could to get close to the podium. Supported by their fans, they took fifth place. Despite her injury, Francesca Nocera finished fourth individually, less than a minute behind Richards. She didn’t give up in front of her family and friends. Sara Traini and Asia Volpi gave their all despite the pressure of competing on home soil. A good result.
Team Great Britain finished well to secure fifth place. Nieve Holmes had a great week, competing alongside the best. Katie Walker and Elisabeth Tett performed well every day of this Italian edition.
Slovakia finished sixth in Bergamo. Natalia Bucova, Barbora Barborova, and Gabriela Cipkova had a good week, demonstrating great consistency. Shelby Turner had an incredible week. The Canadian team leader was joined by Marie-Claude Boudreau and Emma Sharpless to secure seventh place. Chile finished eighth with Tania Gonzalez, Belen Norambuena, and Ignacia Correa. Germany rounded out the rankings with Celine Heistermann, Hedi Blaum, and Laura Soller.
A great 2025 edition in Bergamo, Italy, with different courses and changing weather conditions. Looking forward to 2026, for the 100th edition of the ISDE, which will take place in Portugal.
